Law Libraries and Librarians

Social networking for law librarians and friends of law libraries

Hi all - I'm trying to figure out where to locate sub-group discussions of Second Life. I could try starting a subgroup here - sllawlibrarians or sllawlibraries - or at Jim Milles' Second Life Librarians Ning network at http://sllibrarians.ning.com/. What do y'all think? Thanks! Lyo.

Hi Lyo,
I've played a bit with Second Life, and have an avatar, and I'd certainly join a Second Life Law Librarians subgroup - probably mostly as a by-stander as my avatar is very quiet so far. But I'd be much more likely to be involved, if the subgroup was visible when I signed in here, rather than if I had to join a separate group entirely. I think a sub-group is a great idea!
Hi Marguerite! Thanks for supporting my sub-group idea. And, as you know, `tis done, thanks to Jim Milles! :-) Yippee! See you there! Lyo.

P.S. And I had an avatar for about a year that I kept on drowning in the ocean, flying into unchartered Linden islands (well, I got lost...:-), and running into walls. This SL workshop I'm taking though has at least helped me navigate it enough to get to useful places on SL instead of wandering around in Orientation Island...:-)
