I think that is an important idea. I am working out a method of sending "bills" to our students for their wexis usage as a way of keeping their research activities and methods reality-based.

Why is it that law firm librarians believe that Lexis and WL are free in law schools? It's not, and I wish they'd stop repeating that myth. While academics pay on a different model, the fact is, we still pay. And it ain't cheap....

We're eager to raise the library's profile in the firm during the next year, and this group should provide a fine resource.

I enjoyed this session, Dennis and Kumar!:

Evolving Research Instruction: Exploring Law Student Information Literacy to Energize Instructional Programming
Sunday, July 13 • 3:00 p.m. − 4:00 p.m.

Thanks for presenting on this topic and I hope there's follow-up or similar programming at AALL2009 in D.C.!

I'm a Japanese Law Librarian at Keio Unibersity in Tokyo.
I would like to introduce our library's online tutorial"KITIE".
I wrote its contents which explain about research for Japanese Statutes and Cases.

Well, I'd like to take advantage of this space to invite everyone in this group to attend the following alt-education SIS program at AALL this July:

Evolving Research Instruction: Exploring Law Student Information Literacy to Energize Instructional Programming
Sunday, July 13 • 3:00 p.m. − 4:00 p.m.
Through a variety of active learning techniques, role-play exercises, presentations of original AALL/Aspen Grant funded information literacy research, and applications of strategies to language from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), this panel will demonstrate the paradigm-shifting importance of information literacy for law librarians.

This program will feature Kumar, Molly Brownfield, Rachael Smith and myself, and is scheduled to happen at the conference hotel (is that right, Kumar?) . . . at any rate, I'm hoping that folks will bring any conversation we start here to our program!
