That's sooo funny. The same thing happened to me with my Down East when I was there! Look out a move could be in your very near future. Enjoy your drive to work. Here my commute is 20 minutes on "surface streets" as they are referred to out there and I actually travel 8 miles--Gorham to Portland!!
I hear you - lately my copies of Down East Magazine are getting a lot of wistful reading! I got my nursing degree from UMaine, and then my JD from Univ of San Diego (USD). How funny that you spent some time out here too. There is something very special about the Portland area. Gorham is lovely. My sis and her husband ( the aformenetioned Richard) live in Falmouth Foreside. Have a great day - I get to get on the freeway now to travel to work - it'll take me about an hour to go the 26 miles! Hmmmm. Snow in Maine vs gridlock here.... hmmmmmm
Hi Christine, this is my first day on this site: I graduated from UMaine in 1976 ( gasp!) and have family in Portland still. So I thought I'd see if there were any law librarians there. My brother in law, Hon. Richard Mulhern is also a Maine law school grad.
So.. hello!
Hi Christine- Was looking around the page and saw your name. It was a while ago that you agreed to mentor me through the new law librarians mentor program. Just stopped by to say hi and I'm still here.
Good morning Christine,
I am also a Mainer, raised in Winthrop and Falmouth. My family said the winter was "wicked haaad" this year because of the record snow fall. Enjoy the gorgeous summer. Katie Brown
I am the Associate Director of the Garbrecht Law Library at the University of Maine School of Law, where I graduated from law school in 1996. I have my MLIS from San Jose State University (2000). After a brief stay in Southern California, my husband and I returned to our home state of Maine and we live in Gorham, just west of Portland. We have 3 children, William (10), Joseph (8) and Rose (4). Our favorite time as a family is spent at our camp on Stetson Pond in Stetson, Maine.
