Social networking for law librarians and friends of law libraries

As part of AALL's Web 2.0 Challenge, I am getting up to speed on social networking sites, and Ning is one I wanted to try out.

So what do you think so far? I'm in the same boat (also participating in the challenge).

So far, waiting for more comments! Will be interesting to see what kind of traffic there is on Ning.

I check this Ning group every week or two to see whether there are new discussions. (I don't know whether my schedule of visits is representative.) Also, I've used it as a place to post announcements about a project I'm working on this year -- concerning a search engine for law-related e-books -- for which I've recruited law librarians to help out. (I also post these announcements on three law librarian lists.) I feel that there's something missing from Ning -- maybe something to do with interactivity or just the design of the site. But I still think it's useful.
