My sister also makes jewelry. She is a very intelligent and talented person.

I saw my daughter last weekend. It is a terrible thing to see her so seldom but we communicate via email and text messaging. I get nostalgic for her childhood, but she is a woman now, so I do my best not to interfere in her life, but to help when she wants it. Motherhood is a complex set of adjustments, but there is nothing better.

sorry I haven't communicated for a while
My father is having some very serious Health issues right now and between that and trying to not fall behind at work, i am a bit frazzled.
Hope all is well at your end
Thanks

Dear Tracey
You probably thought I vanished or the worst had happened with my dad, but I am ok and he is in a stable condition for the time being.
I have been really busy at home and at work.
At home it's been all about dad and family members calling for updates on his condition, Thanksgiving, etc. My mother, who is nearly eighty herself, is completely exhausted by all this and so I am helping her more than usual too.
At work Ihave been sent up to our North County Branch to
help out. They are in the midst of a big weeding project at the same time as they are having their carpeting replaced. All the books and all the shelving have to be removed to put the new carpet in, and then restored to their previous positions.
Sorry I took so long to get back to you, but it's been a bit chaotic. haha
Thanks
Michele

Dear Tracey
Hope all is well with you. Can January be nearly over??
Have been frantically busy at this end. Hope you had a great holiday over Xmas and the New Year.
How do you like our new President. We are all so happy.
Cheers

What a negligent corespondent I have been. Are you well. Is the weather improved? How was your son's birthday?
Do you know what's funny, I think of you as looking like that picture. I know you don't, of course. Do you think of me as looking like the Bristlecone Pine tree in my picture?
Cheers

Oh, Tracey!
I love Indian food! I hear there are great Indian restaurants in England. Someday I must come visit. I have never been to England. Does your son like different kinds of food? Some children are extremely particular about food and not willing to try new things. I think that is sad.
Have a great day

Hello Tracey, Hello Michele. If we are speaking of Indian food, can you send me some?

Hmmm! I must visit England before I die (hopefully that gives me some time, haha). I want to see London, of course, and some of the countyside. Stonehenge is a must see. Am also interested in Berkeley Castle.
I don't see myself as able to get away anytime real soon. Between my father's uncertain health and the fact that both my daughter and my ex-husband have lost their employment. I find I must send money to her every month to help her through this uncertain time. Because her father is also unemployed, he is unable to help her at this time. To make the long story short, my financial situation is not working very well

Hey Tracey
How are you? Is everything ok? Haven't heard from you for quite some time. No pressure, just concerned.

Dear Tracey
I hope you are ok, and that you will continue to corespond with me. In these troubled times one worries about people...

All is pretty well at this end.
Working hard and feeling grateful to be working hard.
So many people have lost their jobs!!
My parents are doing pretty well now in terms of their health, & etc.
Glad you are well. Tell me a bit about Cornwall when you have a bit of time.
Thanks

Dear Tracey
I have heard a rumor that the Inner temple Library may soon be merging with the Middle Temple Library!! Is this really going to happen? If so, how will that be for you? A friend sent me this crazy blog called geeklawyer, and that's where I read about it. I hope this will not adversely affect you and your beautiful library!

Dear Tracey

How frightening for you and what a tragic circumstance that makes them consider eliminating a library with such wonderful tradition! In any case, I hope it will not happen, and if it does that the other folks will become the redundant ones! My sister is facing a similar pending disaster due to anticipated budget cuts. She works for the State of California, an Agency that promotes and cares for Special Education needs in San Diego County.
They are also not sure this cut will happen, and if it does who, exactly, will be affected. Sis is feeling very nervous. She already has two kids in college and her youngest is due to start at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the Fall.

Apart from all this, life is proceeding reasonably well. I am well, and my parents are ok. We recently took a little trip up to a place called Kernville. It is a town on the Western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the attraction is a beautiful river that runs right past the town on its way to the valley below. People do rafting and such there because the river is very lively. We didn't do that of course, but enjoyed watching the river, and so on, very much.

All the best
Michele

Have a great time at the school fair. Wish I could come too (even tho I wouldn't know anyone there) but that is not to be anytime in the near future. Must look after the folks, stay fairly close to home and economize as much as possible. This would be a very bad time to spend money I don't have and go deeper in debt!
Hoping to take a little trip with my daughter and her girlfriend in June. They want to go to Sequoia and, as it is one of my favorite places on the planet, I am trying to arrange to go with them. It would be just for a few days.
Talk to you soon

OMG it has been forever since I have looked at this ning thing.
How are you? Hope all is well.
Did they force the two temples to combine? If so are you ok?
I realize that you haven't been paying attention to this ning thing either, but maybe we can re-establish contact
Thanks
Michele
