LOL! I have just sent invitations to a number of people who I think should join us, from a wide range of law library perspectives. I'm hoping they join in the fun!
Thanks, Jim, for getting this going. Now I just need time to figure out how it all really works. Maybe we need a Social Networking group at AALL so we can all get together face-to-face and talk about how we're using this stuff... but I guess that's what all of this is for, huh? ;-)
Wow! This network is picking up steam pretty fast. Already over 50 members. And plenty more to come, I am sure.
I was playing with the admin function that allows us to "feature" members to see what it does. It appears to show up to 5 members at the top of the members page.
I have put some of our higher profile members in to start, but feel free to try it, change, or remove. Simple to do: from the members page, beside any person's photo click on "feature" or "unfeature" as the case may be.
I'm doing great - but busy here at the library. We are about to start a major renovation of AB Hall. Most of the library will be hard hat area! In addition to the many things that are happening (e.g., the non-classroom space on the 1st & 3rd floors are going through a gut re-hab), they are putting a huge sky light over the courtyard and making that interior space. We got the day off of work last Tuesday when they installed the frame. For video, see: http://law.wustl.edu/news/index.asp?id=6541
Thanks again for the restaurant recommendations. We ended up getting my friends a gift certificate to Torches. They would love to meet you, and get some personalized Buffalo info. I will send their contact info by private e-mail.
yeah, jim, that's exactly what i thought . . . only problem is that i'm not sure that everyone involved understands the demographics of 2dLife . . . and i'm pretty sure we don't have a lot of students there . . .
HI Jim, this looks like fun. My summer project is to investigate Second Life and other social networking strategies. Thanks for creating the opportunity! Tory
Hi Jim! Actually, the picture on Katie's profile is when I was still in law school - about a year before I moved back to Buffalo. Ironically, I did cut my hair recently - and that short!
